One of the most interesting games of round 40 was a derby match between two teams from Russia. The game took place in Kazan where second rankedUNICS outleveled visiting Avtodor (7-31) 86-65 . UNICS players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. The winners were led by American center Jalen Reynolds (208-1992, college: Xavier) who scored that evening 16 points and 9 rebounds and Alexey Shved (198-1988, agency: Alti Sport) supported him with 12 points and 11 assists. Four UNICS players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 20 points and 9 assists by guard Vytalius Pranauskis (193-2002) did not help to save the game for Avtodor . Forward Igor Volkhin (200-1997) added 18 points for lost side. UNICS maintains second position with 31-6 record having just three points less than leader CSKA. Avtodor lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 31 games lost.
